In order to offer you unique Handmade Moroccan rugs and the most authentic decorative objects, the Moroccan Warm Rugs team meets regularly in Morocco near Marrakech, more precisely in the city center, our point of departure.
Visiting Morocco regularly allows us to meet the craftsmen and weavers of immense talent, to know their history and their traditions, in order to pass on to you in turn this passion for Moroccan craftsmanship. Selling a product without knowing the real story is, in our view, inconsistent. But to offer you unique and Handmade Moroccan pieces loaded with memories, there, yes, everything makes sense!
Today, we therefore linger a bit on Marrakech, a dazzling city with at its heart the famous Medina, a medieval fortified city with Berber origins! It is a relatively mysterious city that we walk through with curiosity. Like a labyrinth, the small alleys intermingle, intersect and each time reveal a new surprise. Like a procession, the many souks and stalls unveil Moroccan objects and souvenirs of all kinds: teapots, slippers, leather bags, stoles, jewelry, baskets ... an essential walk to immerse yourself in the sparkling and hectic atmosphere of the city!
Each corner of these small narrow streets reveals a secret. Magnificent Riads, traditional Moroccan houses often transformed into guest houses, with surprising calm and magical charm, are hidden there and allow you to spend a convivial moment around a delicious mint tea. By taking a little height, one discovers the terraces of the solid Moroccan buildings, which are for the majority either arranged in outside living room or in restaurant or private allowing to dry the linen of the family.
We then continue to wander the streets, let ourselves be carried away by the overwhelming smell of spices or by the horn of mopeds that make their way among the tourists.
Marrakech is a vibrant city, welcoming and attractive, which does not leave you indifferent. Our base, we love it! And after days on the roads of the Moroccan plains or in the Atlas mountains meeting Berber tribes, weavers and potters, we like to meet there, recharge our batteries and fill up with positive energy!
